Preetha Vijayakumar is the second daughter of the star couple Vijayakumar and Manjula. She has two sisters Sreedevi and Vanitha, and one older brother Arun Kumar who are also film personalities. She followed her parents’ foot steps and entered the Tamil film industry through the film Dharma opposite Vijayakanth. She paired with Surya in Santhipoma. She continued a successful career with films like Ponnu Veetukaran, Kaadhal Sugamanathu, Punnagai Desam, Kakkai Siraginilae, Padayappa, etc. She apparently fell in love with director Hari during the making of Alli Arjuna, in which Hari was an assistant director. After Hari\'s directorial debut, the Prasanth-starrer Tamizh became a hit, the two decided to tie the knot. After her marriage with Hari, she quit films at the peak of her career.
